I was delighted when I found this red babies in the back of my closet. Totally forgot about them! You've seen this outfit on the blog before (here), but the red boots give it a whole new look. Matching ring and big red earrings and I'm ready for a date with my love!

OUTFIT: TOUCH OF LEOPARD

Yesterday was my day off this week. A cold and rainy day. A grey day (matching my outfit! ;)). My best friend Desiree treated me to lunch at 'Kitsch & Kunst aan de Rotte', a cute place in Rotterdam North, with the best sandwiches (date bread with spicy chicken and walnuts, yumm!). I can't wait for the cold to be over, it makes me whine all day... Sore throat, irritable skin. Spring, please come. Come soon!

I'm wearing leopard tights yet again, but in a whole 'nother way. Grey and thick and they pair well with this oversized blouse with the cute collar.

OUTFIT/LIFE: MISTER AND MISSISSIPPI

Last friday night my friend Daisy and I went to a concert of this new Dutch Indie-folk band called Mister and Mississippi at De Unie in Rotterdam. Amazing! I so love love love this kind of music! After the concert we met the members of the band and they signed the canvas bag I just got as a present from Daisy. Yaay!

We bumped into my friend Eline there too, made a new friend and had a few drinks together after the show. De Unie is the perfect place for small intimate concerts like this. And it's awesome how much more beautiful the album sounds when you play it at home after you've been to a concert. At least it does for me. 

What I'm wearing: A cobalt blue supersoft jeans, peplum top and wedged boots. Casual but chic. Great concert stuff, if you ask me.

LIFE: DIARY 07

Another week has past and so it's time for a new diary! Quite a boring week if you ask me, it feels like all I'm doing is work and sleep and work and sleep... And since my boyfriend is leaving in 2 weeks now, I spent every free second I have with him. I love it, but at the same time I came to realize that I'm neglecting my girls. They understand, but I miss them. It's hard to keep the balance with all that's changing and all the change that's about to come! And I'm sure it turns out to be fine. But for now it's just.. well.. hard.

I have so much fun with this crazy croc ring I bought at Ale Hop! // wearing my new pointy boots for the first time // I bought this very tacky letter necklace for 2 euro at Primark and I'm going to wear it non-stop for 3 months! it's the R from Roel, my BF, and like that he's with me the whole time we are apart. ;) // last lunch in Spain. yum, and how I miss the sun! // me and my boyfriend acting crazy. it's not one of my best pictures, but it captured the fun we were having at that moment // my shoes and bag on a regular workday 

OUTFIT: TACKY

There was a time I thought leopard prints and letter necklaces were tacky. But people change. I'll tell you more about the necklace - R is the first letter of my boyfriends name - tomorrow in my diary post. Today it's about the tights. Sheer and leopard. When I noticed them in store (on sale, yaay) it was love at first sight. The package looked so incredibly tasteless I had to have it. It challenged me to make something good out of it. 

Thursday was my day off and I couldn't wait to wear it (this is certainly not work material!). Pair 'm with sneakers, was one of my first thought. The skaterskirt was the next thing I took on. And while I was running around the house in all that and my bra - looking for the right shirt or blouse to combine it with - the doorbell rang. I grabbed the nearest thing to dress up and open the door, and tadaa, a new outfit came into this world. The thick, knitted vest took the trash away. The look is comfy now. With an edge. And I really love that!

Can't wait to wear these tights with an oversized black dress and ancle boots!

OUTFIT: BILLBOARD

One of my colleagues discovered my blog and asked me, in all seriousness, if I was sponsored by H&M. I'm not, but you can safely say H&M is sponsored by me. Not deliberately, 85% of what's in my closet turns out to be designed and made by H&M. Divided for sporty days and TREND as my absolute favourite high street brand. In the world! ♥ If I need a new dress, I know where to find it. Cool, nobby and just that extra bit of exclusivity. It dovetails with who I feel I am.

So I'm sorry I'm such a H&M billboard. Can't help it. And for the record: These very cool boots are from Stradivarius. Got lost in a mall in Spain.. ;)

OUTFIT: POSTERIZED

Yesterday I was asked to work a shift at my old job at the last moment. I really love to go back there and spent a few hours with all of my old 'work kids', the youngsters that live at the residential group. I quickly put together this outfit: black shirt, track pants and an oversized blazer. And blue shoes, to give it that extra something. Very quick picture-taking leads to not being totally satisfied with the results, so I started playing with Picasa and her nice effects. Cheating, right. But I love that! Everything looks better through Instagram's filters or Picasa's edits... I'm a little addicted to it! So today it's Posterized. Do you like it?

OUTFIT: BASIC +

I'm a sucker for basics. I love a floral dress so now and then, but most of the things that hang in my closet are plain and of solid colour. My summer uniform consists of a dress and some sandals. Or a jeans and a tee. During winter I put some black tights underneath it and/or a cadigan over it and I'm ready to go. But there's one thing I love more than basics, I call it basic +. And this top I found on sale at Zara Spain is a perfect example of that. A basic burgundy shirt, with leather sleeves. And leather is always better, I read on a fashionblog this weekend, so this top is a real pearl. O, and I combine it with my new boots. Wedged and pointed, yaaay! 

I spent my whole Saturday in bed with a migraine and the upside of that is that I was full of energy on Sunday. Used it by giving my house a spring cleaning. 

Today is the first day at work after my superfun holiday and late afternoon we'll get vaccinations again. I'm glad I'm free again tomorrow! :)

My last day in Spain means a fav summer look: Jeans, tee, flats. The sleeves of this shirt are ripped. It makes the 'armholes' huge and I like that. A peeking red bra makes this outfit a little more exciting...!

Tomorrow I'll show you more from my holiday in Spain in a big diary. For now it's time to think about how I'm gonna survive more winterdays... Snow it is. Again! Snif... :(

OUTFIT: CITRUS

We spent our Tuesday afternoon at my aunt & uncle's place in the mountains. Having lunch, picking oranges, squeeze them to fresh juice, enjoying the sun. What a wonderful day! ♥ 

Tonight we're flying home. Don't want to! I could easily stay here for a few more weeks. :)
